Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Spyro hit the hearts of many people around the world back in 1998 with his first ever game Spyro The Dragon. This was closely followed with the second installment to his story, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage in 1999. Spyro: Year of the Dragon finished his story with the third installment in 2000. People who deeply enjoyed getting to see what this purple hero could do over those three years fell hard for the little but mighty dragon had seemed to be quite satisfied with how the main story ended. As the years passed on many would say that even though those cravings were well meant it just didn't seem like it was enough. These people could still feel the magic from a faraway place where a certain little fairy would help rescue a certain little purple dragon from near potential harm and kick a big bad gnorc's butt. For these select people just like our purple hero they are hearing a place calling to them reaching for them with an urgency of great disturbance about to erupt in Spyro's world. These people stop and think to themselves, "Something about this feeling is so familiar like I've been there before." Thinking back to those days of gathering dragon eggs and freeing elder dragons from imprisonment was like it happened yesturday and not just a mere dream. Turning around something mysterious happens as a portal begins to open, with hesitation and taking a deep breath, these few people feel the familiar pull and take a a leap of faith into that portal to a promising future...

...20 years later...

Enter the beautifully remastered version of our purple dragon hero along with his long-time friend Sparx the dragonfly, also health meter counter for the amazing hero, you know; green means go and red means no. In a world that we remember so well Spyro must face his fears once again in this trio of games in near perfect visual with beautiful and badder graphics.

Help our hero overcome those fears first as a born-again rookie in Sypro the Dragon where he must train those skills to see if he has what it takes to become strong enough to take down Gnasty Gnorc and free the other dragons. Pay close attention to Sparx as he will tell you the health of Spyro while he follows you around. Remember as well that Sparx enjoys tasty butterflies which will help the little flying health meter go back up in health.

After going through training day in the first installment check out Spyro: Ripto's Rage. Sypro decides he needs some time to relax and catch up on some zzz's in this thrilling game but it turns out that there are other plans in store for our purple hero. Landing in your not so average vacation getaway Sypro comes to a realm called Avalar where he is summoned by Elora the Faun, Hunter the Cheetah, and the Professor. They explain that a villain named Ripto the warlock and his two goons Crush and Gulp is trying to take over the peaceful Avalar, with Elora's request Spyro has to defend Avalar from peril to bring harmony back to this great land...of course Sypro's portal was destroyed thanks to Ripto so there wasn't much choice to begin with. After all is said and done Spyro along with Hunter the Cheetah leave Avalar through the portal which is where the third installment will take place.

In the last installment of the main story for our purple hero we discover a forgotten world that used to inhabit dragons of long ago. In this forgotten place an evil Sorceress with an army of Rhynoc rule the land, stealing dragon eggs with the help of a character named Bianca the Rabbit, the Sorceress's apprentice, at least until Bianca finds out the true purpose that the dragon eggs have. Throughout this forgotten land Spyro and Hunter the Cheetah get help from the characters who live here specifically Sheila the Kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd the Penguin, Bentley the Yeti, and Agent 9 the Monkey. Even with the aid of Bianca Spyro finds that the Sorceress is not that easy to defeat but eventually everything gets restored and the dragon eggs are back where they belong.

Now if this wasn't exciting enough there has been information containing who the voice actors will be for these unforgettable characters. Tom Kenny who voiced our hero Spyro in both Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon will be reclaiming his role in this awesome trilogy with some re-recordings from the first game as Spyro was voiced by Carlos Alazraqui. Hunter the Cheetah and Ripto will be voiced over as Gregg Berger reclaiming his roles from the originals. Also composer Stewart Copeland wrote a new main theme for the trilogy, since he wrote the songs for the original games.

Keep in mind to my dear readers that with the trilogy you will only receive the first game, Spyro the Dragon, as a physical tangible copy. The other two games will have to be downloaded per an in-game update in order for you to play them. The initial release date for this game was suppose to be September 21st, 2018 but a delay occurred so make sure to mark your calendars for November 13th, 2018. It will be released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Thank you to everyone who joined me on this amazing game review and to those who have continued reading to the very end. I'm very much excited for the return of Spyro as I know many of you are to. This post maintained for the most part the facts and game descriptions though there are some parts that came strictly from my imagination. I look forward to your comments and suggestions. Until next time my dear readers, have a wonderful day.
